Welcome to my creative arts and crafts where I showcase some of my interests and hobbies. I enjoy calligraphy and fiber arts especially Japanese loop braiding techniques which are known as "Kute Uchi" or Hand-Held Loop Manipulation. This was a traditional braiding method to make cords for Japanese armour reproduction and reconstruction.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I learned a track plan to help me braid complex structures and patterns. I also started silk production and growing Japanese Indigo for making traditional indigo dye vat. Recently, I enjoyed calligraphy which is an art form that focuses on the beautiful writing of letters because it also helps me to have a better understanding of typography and layout design.
I write this blog to record my learning progress and share it with other artists and designers who are interested in reading my experiments. Currently, I started calligraphy and other creative arts and crafts. They help me to have a deeper understanding of history of graphic design.
